Route Nine welcomes writing submissions from current members and graduates of the University of Massachusetts Amherst MFA Program for Poets and Writers
We do not read writing submissions from poets or writers unaffiliated with the UMass Amherst MFA Program.
We do, however, welcome art and photography from all.
Any and all nonfiction: interviews, essays, reviews, memoir. No length restrictions, but 5,000 words or under is recommended.
"Flash" and short fiction, novel excerpts. No length restrictions, but 5,000 words or under is recommended.
Poems, limit no more than 5.
Audio, video, photo essays, and translations? Basically anything that doesn't fall under fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art.
